I was originally born as William Ford. I am the second oldest of five siblings. Growing up was definitely a struggle being raised by my single grandmother, Mary Ford on the west side of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Even though I had the structure, love, and stability of a family as a young child. I still rebelled to the streets by the age of 12 looking up to my big brother as an influence to the flashy life style that drugs, money, and cars brought. So by age 13 I found myself being on the wrong side of the law. Due to the nature of my charges of aggravated and simple assault I was put on house arrest for 6 months, where I learned I had a passion for music. I listened to the likes of the Lox, Jay z, Busta Rhymes, Mystical, and Noreaga just to name a few. Remixing their music, I learned to write and make music.
By 17 I begin producing and recording my own music creating a buzz with singles like A Plus and Do It Big. In 2008 I was nominated for “BEST NEW ARTIST” in the Pittsburgh “Hip Hop Awards”. Also receiving spins on the local radio station WAMO which eventually spread to night clubs and local high schools.
As my future looked promising I was faced with another setback. On February 28, 2008 I was arrested on felony, drugs and gun charges. I was sentenced to 5years; I thought I blew my chances. But on February 8, 2011 my sentence was vacated. Blessed with a second chance to peruse my dream, I came home forming a new hip hop/rap group called the BBG BOYZ. Through good music, we almost instantly caught the eyes and ears of the entire Pittsburgh. Performing shows and posting music via internet, we boosted our movement and changed the game. Now we’re coming to a city near you. Now through our trials and tribulations we finally got signed to “FIFTHTEEN DYNASTY ENTERTAINMENT” and its only up from here.
